RunTangent Analyst privacy
Last updated: 27 October 2026. This statement covers the free RunTangent Analyst Windows application.
Your files and work
RunTangent Analyst processes imported datasets on your Windows device. Inputs, results, recipes, queries and workspace state may be held in memory, temporary folders, app storage or files you save. Temporary processing does not guarantee secure deletion or recovery after a crash. Save or export work you need to retain, and back up saved databases separately.
Network connections you choose
Fetching a live URL in Data Extractor contacts the website you specify. That website receives the request and ordinary connection information, including your network address. Connecting to a remote database contacts the server you specify, under that server’s access, logging and privacy rules.
Analytics and platform services
The reviewed desktop source does not implement RunTangent-operated advertising tracking, analytics or automatic crash-report uploads. Windows, Microsoft Store and Microsoft Edge WebView2 may perform installation, security, diagnostic and update activity under Microsoft’s terms and your settings. Local file processing does not mean every platform component is permanently offline.
Support
Contact hello@runtangent.com. Messages are forwarded to our Gmail inbox and handled through our email providers. Only send information you want us to receive. Remove private data and credentials from screenshots, connection strings and sample files. No automatic support-report upload is implemented.
Your control
You control files you explicitly save or export. App-managed storage may be affected by uninstalling or resetting the app; keep independent backups of important work. Support questions and privacy requests can be sent to the address above.
